EduTech: The New Re-Certification
The PHSC Re-Certification for Online Teaching and Model Course Development course will further faculty’s skills in creating, facilitating and managing their online courses. With the collaboration of EduTech, Re-Certification plans to celebrate innovation in new educational technologies. This course will also build the skills needed to operate the current educational technologies PHSC provides. Topics will change based on relevance and need. The course will provide faculty with the skills required to implement and support accessible educational content, communication and feedback, and strategies for quality course design all following the Universal Design for Learning Framework.
Training Frequency and PD Credits
EduTech is EIT’s annual virtual conference that has been transformed into an engaging experience for this Re-Certification Training. Review the following information:
- This training will be a yearly requirement for full-time and part-time faculty who teach online. This training will assist our faculty in providing quality online instruction at PHSC.
- Each EduTech course session provides faculty with 5 Re-Certification Professional Development Credits with a total of 15 professional development credits in 3 years.
Participation and Guidelines
Participating in our conference for Re-Certification is easy.
- Engage and participate in the scheduled live sessions and discussion forums in the EduTech Course through Canvas LMS.
- Complete 2 out of the 5 EduTech Course Modules of your choice. You must complete the following items in each module:
- Watch all the pre-recorded discovery sessions in the EduTech Course Modules.
- Participate and apply your skills in the discussion forums.
Re-Certification Guidelines
- Each EduTech Course Module is worth 2 PD Credits toward Re-Certification.
- Re-Cert Participants are required to earn 5 PD Credits towards Re-Cert each year.
