Kaltura is our new video management platform that is embedded right in Canvas for developing engaging and interactive videos. Use Kaltura for instruction, or get the students involved in creating fun videos for the whole class! In Kaltura, users can upload, import, record, and add captions to videos.
Kaltura features:
- Easy way to record and capture a computer screen for presentations.
- Fun and interactive platform to build video quizzes or add links in the video.
- Embedded directly in Canvas for easy access.
- Create accessible videos using the REACH Captioning Software
- Build a repository of videos to share with others.

Kaltura Basics
The Kaltura Basics is a four-module E-Learning and Instructional Technology (EIT) course.
Participants will practice importing, creating, and captioning videos in Canvas using Kaltura. During the five-week term, course participants should expect to spend approximately eight hours completing the four required assignments.

New This Summer — Advanced Kaltura
The Advanced Kaltura Training course is a six-week course available to those who have completed the Kaltura Basics Training course. This advanced session will explore the resources Kaltura has to engage your students, and help you manage your online videos. Topics include the Kaltura video editor, video quiz creation, video hotspots, collaboration settings and permissions and understanding your video analytics. This course requires the completion of 12 professional development credit hours.
